MADRID - CETRERÍA LAS ROZAS

Modern house of concrete and glass designed by a prestigious architecture studio. It enjoys a surface area of 585 square metres built on 2 floors, on a plot of 2,500 square metres.

On the upper floor there is a large social area with a magnificent living room, dining room, office, kitchen with office and separate laundry room. It also enjoys a magnificent south-facing terrace. On this floor is the master suite with en-suite bathroom, the guest bedroom with en-suite bathroom and the service area.

On the lower floor there are 3 further bedrooms with dressing rooms, 2 bathrooms, a work and TV room, a computer room and a technical room. 

There is also a full kitchen outside, making it easy to hold events in the garden.    

The garden has been designed ad hoc with the terrain, with pines, holm oaks, poplars and rockroses. It has a large covered terrace in front of the swimming pool (11 x 5m) and enjoys a large green area in front.

In this unique home, the architects wanted to show the friendly side of concrete, which they have used without hesitation in this spectacular project.

From a bird's eye view, the die-cut rectangle of its floor plan simulates a puzzle piece, in which the curved counterforms that cut out the sides facilitate the insertion of the garden (an oak grove) inside the house, facilitating the distribution of the rooms, without the need for interior divisions.

The project aimed to respect all aspects of the vegetation and even to add trees. The difference in level of the lowest part of the house (5 metres) made it possible to install vegetation under the house and to allow light to penetrate into the most hidden areas.

Its monochromatic character (grey) was one of the premises, because visually it was intended to acquire a uniform value, with little contrast, in order to give prominence to the garden.

Glass is the other predominant material. Whether as a window or as a reflective element, whitish or greenish depending on how the light falls, it allows almost the entire house to be seen from the same place. 

An absolutely unique house for locations and special events (filming, photo shoots, product launches, meetings, parties...) within walking distance of the centre of Madrid.
