In the increasingly sought-after Barrio de Justicia, now known as 'Madrid's New Golden Mile', this beautiful two-bedroom, two-bathroom flat combines architecture and design to offer a modern and comfortable home.
A large living room welcomes us with an imposing brick wall, reinforced by wonderful original wooden beams from the old house, which divides the social space between the living room and kitchen with dining room. At the same time, the kitchen has been separated from the dining room with a large window with wooden skirting board and profiles which, in addition to separating the two areas for functionality, brings harmony and design to the space.
The living room enjoys magnificent balconies in which wooden doors and shutters have been preserved, a key element in the interior design project of this home, to which it adds quality and warmth. Two well-defined areas have been organised. On the one hand, there is the social area equipped with a comfortable sofa accompanied by two pouffes, around a low table, as well as a pair of side tables from an antique shop, and its original lamps.
At the other end of the room is a pair of comfortable armchairs facing the television, accompanied by two small tables in a cheerful turquoise blue, in harmony with the seats in front of the sofa. A capacious bookcase completes the living room furnishings. For large gatherings, the two rooms can be merged into a single room, creating a large space that can accommodate large groups.
The dining room has been fitted with a solid wooden table together with a set of nice chairs, reminiscent of the seats of the old school desks, with iron legs in the same blue colour as the living room. A large and beautiful cupboard in a soft shade of blue-green completes the dining room, offering plenty of storage space for all the kitchen utensils.
The kitchen space has been delineated with a beautiful checkerboard floor for functionality, while giving it a contemporary feel, and has been equipped with all kinds of large and small appliances (including dishwasher and washer-dryer), as well as a practical countertop.
A bright hallway leads to the private area where the bedrooms and their respective bathrooms are located. Firstly, we find the guest bedroom with an imperial size bed (135 x 200 / suitable for two people), accompanied by a fun bedside table and a large built-in wardrobe. Next in the corridor is the exterior bathroom, equipped with a bathtub and a complete and beautiful wooden and iron vanity unit.
At the end of the corridor, for greater privacy, is the master suite, equipped with a queen-size double bed and a large built-in wardrobe, with a bookcase on one side. It also has a private bathroom with a large window (ideal for excellent ventilation), shower and a practical and generous vanity unit for storing towels and toiletries.
The location is one of the great advantages of this flat, with several bus lines in the immediate vicinity, which connect with various districts of Madrid, and the Metro stations of Chueca' and 'Colón a short walk away, as well as the Recoletos train station.
The tranquillity of Calle Piamonte, where the property is located, contrasts with the vibrant life of the Barrio de Justicia, dotted with numerous exclusive shops and an abundance of cafés, restaurants and bars, whose product and aesthetics have been taken care of down to the last detail, to offer a unique experience to the lucky visitor. There is no doubt that 'La Nueva Milla de Oro Madrileña' has earned its nomination. It is a real pleasure to wander through its streets, observe its centenary buildings, enjoy its beautiful shops and taste its rich gastronomy.
Undoubtedly... a ten flat in a ten out of ten neighbourhood.
